Herring Gull And Wave

I climbed down the rocks to get this photograph. A Herring Gull was flying around and landing on the rocks, soon to fly off as the waves crashed in. I waited and timed the shutter release as the bird took flight. Freezing the action. Herring gulls are widespread and can easily be seen almost anywhere along the coast and inland. Even tho they're so common I still take trips out to photograph them around the Kerry Beaches.
